CHANGE PUBLIC
MAINSTREAMING CLIMATE CHANGE
Change Public is a forum for thinking and talking about innovation and impact. This year we will address Climate Change as a key theme.
By bringing together diverse stakeholders from the impact sector, this conclave aims to begin a new conversation about how to incorporate climate change thinking into ongoing social and economic developmental efforts.
For decades, Climate Change has remained as a niche and specialist concern, which does not yet adequately inform grant-making, social investment or financial allocation decision. India’s impact investing community has just begun to consider climate change as an investment thesis.
This is quickly changing, in part in response to the Paris Agreement of 2015, which will come into force in 2020, which will allow the multilateral trading of carbon credits.
In light of this, Change Public will focus on mainstreaming climate change in social development and Impact sector by addressing various themes such as– green agriculture, clean energy, livestock and financial inclusion.
